O’Melveny nets third green energy role

O’Melveny & Myers has scored a deal advising new banking client Climate Change Capital on the launch of its first clean technology private equity vehicle, the €200m (£137.82m) Climate Change Capital Private Equity Fund.

The team acting for the European bank was led by London partner Solomon Wifa, with corporate support from associate Lynn Chan.

Tax support was provided by partner Jan Birtwell and associate Janice Seah, while regulatory advice came from of counsel Alasdair Gordon.

This is the third European renewable energy/clean technology fund mandate O’Melveny’s London office has worked on over the past 18 months.

It previously acted on the establishment of European Clean Energy Fund, a €329m (£226.71m) fund managed by TCW Asset Management, and Impax New Energy Investors, a €125m (£86.14m) fund managed by Impax Asset Management.
