Advocate Will Austin-Vautier has joined Ogier’s growing local legal services team as the second key hire in six months.

Will joins Advocate Helen Ruelle, one of Jersey’s leading employment and local business lawyers, who joined Ogier as Director of Local Legal Services in May.

Helen said that Will brings with him wide-ranging experience across the local legal services offering including employment law, GDPR, regulatory law and also property, probate and business transactions.

“We’re delighted that Will has joined the team – in his ten years’ of practice he has earned a reputation as a first-class contentious and non-contentious employment lawyer but also as an advisor to local businesses,” said Helen.

Will has been a Jersey Advocate since 2014 and has experience before the Royal Court and Jersey Employment and Discrimination Tribunal.

He joins the Ogier team that includes Counsel Rachel Richardson, who leads the Guernsey employment team, and Jersey associate Laura Shirreffs who advises primarily on non-contentious employment matters as well as property and business transactions.
