Ogier has advised a long-term private equity real estate client in connection with its £103m sale of the Woolwich Estate in south-east London.

The 4.9-acre site, which comprises several clusters of buildings around Powis Street in the heart of the town centre, was sold to British Land.

Undergoing a period of significant regeneration, Woolwich will have a station on the eastern branch of Crossrail when it opens in December 2018.

The Ogier legal team, consisting of partner Richard Daggett, senior associate Amy Garrod and associate Ridhiima Kapoor, worked closely with CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP and Mishcon de Reya LLP on the deal.

Richard said: “Having been involved in the original acquisition of the Woolwich Estate site in 2014, we are delighted to once again work with CMS and Mishcon on the disposal.”
