Norton Rose collects old mobiles for charity

Norton Rose has been collecting old mobile phones and second-hand clothing from its partners and staff as part of a week-long campaign to support its local charities.

The firm has set up a series of stands collecting for three charities: Dress for Success, The Manna Society and FonesforSafety.

Trainee solicitor Natalie Whitworth, who is part of the staff charity committee and helped organise the event said: “It’s great to be part of such a big firm but still be able to play your part in helping charities in the area.”

The Dress for Success organisation helps disadvantaged women secure work by providing them with professional attire and support preparing for interviews.

FonesforSafety is a mobile phone recycling scheme which turns used mobile phones into reconfigured ‘999 only’ phone alarms for victims of domestic violence.

The Manna Society is a homeless centre based near London Bridge.
