Norton Rose appoints DLA Piper partner for Paris IP push

Norton Rose has hired a DLA Piper partner to strengthen its IP and IT practice in Paris.

Marc d’Haultfoeuille will join Norton Rose’s French corporate finance team this week, bringing with him senior associate Nadège Martin.

D’Haultfoeuille’s practice includes outsourcing and offshoring, IT, communications, IP and data protection. He advises on transactional and contentious issues.

Norton Rose has had a tumultuous year in Paris, losing a team of five lawyers including two partners to Stephenson Harwood in September. In October it emerged that four partners were set to leave the firm along with their associates.

Insurance head Jérôme Da Ros also left the firm in September and set up his own boutique in November, along with five other ex-Norton Rose lawyers.

Norton Rose’s international head of technology Michael Rebeiro said d’Haultfoeuille’s appointment would strengthen the breadth and depth of the firm’s technology expertise globally.
