Morgan Lewis has snared a corporate finance equity partner from Norton Rose.

Iain Wright, who was with Norton Rose for 16 years, joined the London office of Morgan Lewis last week as part of the firm’s focus on this practice group.

Wright said: “At Norton Rose I was very much involved in the telecoms sector. I wanted to focus more on corporate finance and get back to what I enjoyed doing most. Morgan Lewis is focussing on what it calls business and finance. I very much want to access the broader client base that this firm can provide.”

At Norton Rose Wright advised on key transactions such as the £25.1bn acquisition of Orange by France Telecom in 2000.

Wright commented: “The diversity that Morgan Lewis can offer is fantastic and this will enable me to diversify my practice.”
