After the postponements and cancellations of 2020, it was an incredible sight to have fans back on site for the sporting calendar’s premier events last year. Spectators flooded back into stadiums the world over and making sure that two of the biggest events of last year (the Wimbledon Championships and Euro 2020) went ahead was Armstrong Teasdale head of sports Zane Shihab.

At the beginning of the year, it was touch and go as to whether either event would happen. The Delta variant was rife in the UK and Europe, threatening another lost summer of tennis and a seriously bloody nose for European football’s governing body Uefa’s top tier international tournament.

Shihab’s advice on ticketing integrity ensured both events went ahead and complied with myriad regulations both in England and, in the case of the Euros, across Europe where each jurisdiction had its own rules in place.

This year, Shihab’s team at Armstrong Teasdale has a full event calendar, with work on Ride London, Wimbledon 2022 and the London Marathon all pencilled in. We hope that Covid-19 will not cast as large a shadow this year as it has over the previous two.
