Tracey Dovaston

Tracey Dovaston is Managing Director and Head of Litigation Investigations and Enforcement for the EME region at Barclays. Tracey joined Barclays in March 2015 from General Electric where she established and led the Litigation Centre of Excellence team for GE Capital’s EMEA region from 2009 through to 2015, managing significant litigation and both regulatory and internal investigations across the business. She is also the editor of a book on handling investigations across Europe, covering 17 jurisdictions. Tracey joined GE in 2005 as the Chief Compliance Officer supporting GE Capital Solutions in Europe.

Tracey’s early legal career was spent with Herbert Smith in the banking, finance and regulatory team within the Litigation department. During her career with the firm, she was one of the first judicial assistants to the English Court of Appeal and has worked in Sydney and Hong Kong, where she qualified as a Hong Kong solicitor. Tracey has a First Class Honours degree in Law from the University of Leeds, U.K.

In addition to her work responsibilities, she supports various diversity initiatives through her membership of WiN, she is an active member of the D&I cross-mentoring programme and leads Barclays “All-Rise” programme, an initiative that aims to increase diversity within and outside of Barclays legal community.
