I qualified in 2006 at the Department for Trade and Industry into a commercial/procurement role. I stayed at the DTI for two years before moving into private practice in the London office of Bevan Brittan LLP, undertaking NHS commercial work. I moved back in-house in 2011 when I joined the BT commercial team working on the major NHS IT programme, at that time (and perhaps since) the biggest peace-time IT project in history. I worked on that project for two years, before becoming head of the legal team in a niche practice within BT Security that dealt in BT’s regulatory requirements as a telecommunications services provider as well as cyber solutions. Since then I have added the BT Defence and broader BT Security legal teams. I have an exciting, challenging role managing against a backdrop of a BT in flux and a booming security market.
