Sarah Binder

Lime

It’s been a zippy year for Lime’s general counsel Sarah Binder, looking to leverage micro mobility in cities for a more sustainable future. Binder has overseen Lime’s growth in new major markets across the globe, expanding in London and winning in Brisbane and Rome. She fought a Paris referendum and successfully won on a summary judgement and appeal on a multimillion-dollar case. The Lime GC also reduced the overall insurance spend by 25 per cent through her relentless focus on comprehensive data.

In 2024, Binder will continue to ensure that micro mobility is available for everyone in every city in the world, further navigating a new and unregulated sector. She also hopes to embed data driven decision making in every part of the legal function to enhance its credibility. Legal tech is also on Binder’s agenda, which will provide much more data to analyse productivity. She holds the role of head of trust and safety and sits on the board as corporate secretary.
