Rupert MacInnes

Capital OneGeneral Counsel, Head of Legal, Compliance and External Affairs

Rupert MacInnes is Chief Counsel at Capital One UK leading the UK Legal, Compliance and External Affairs functions covering legal, compliance, conduct and reputational risk categories. Rupert is a member of the executive leadership team as well as being ingrained in the strategic and risk governance of the business. Rupert joined Capital One UK’s legal team in 2002, overseeing market facing activity, litigation and regulatory work. He was made Head of Legal in 2007, Chief Risk Officer in 2011 and Chief Counsel UK in 2015. He is also Company Secretary. Rupert is a qualified solicitor, has an MBA from Imperial College.
