Rachel is the newly created Head of Collaborations at Ashurst Advance. With a view to being recognised by Ashurst’s clients as a leader in the efficient and flexible delivery of legal services, Rachel is focussed on identifying and embedding a network of strategic collaborations in delivery, data and technology. Not only with vendors, but also with other law firms (co-opetition) and clients. Rachel’s passion is for culture change, creating a creative mindset and environment, in which new ways of working can be embedded and ideas can blossom.
Prior to this Rachel was the Innovation Lead for UK, US and EMEA at Herbert Smith Freehills. She was responsible for driving the innovation agenda for the firm, focussing on culture, clients, products & services, data and tech. Rachel has also spent time exploring the broader innovation and start-up space, spending time consulting for Janders Dean, Innovation Beehive, a variety of start-ups and also managing an HRTech focussed start-up incubator. Prior to that, she had a varied and fruitful 11 years at BNP Paribas running consecutively, the Innovation, Transformation, Client Relationship Management teams in Global Markets.
She is passionate about all things people, diversity, lifelong learning, and technology. Rachel is an evangelist (she loves writing and speaking) and facilitator to educate and drive change.
