Prew Lumley

Squire Patton Boggs

Lumley is proof to all women that you can have it all. Having trained at legacy Hammonds, Lumley has grown up with the firm. She made partner at 29 years old, stepped down to do a job share with Karen French for two years in order to start a family, before the pair was later made-up as Squires’ first job share partner. Lumley proceeded to become an equity partner in 2018, while still working part-time, and as of May 2023 she will succeed John Alderton as Leeds’s managing partner.

Lumley is also the national head of Squires’ retail real estate practice, holding a client portfolio including Charlotte Tilbury, KFC and Theo Paphitis’s eponymous retail group. She turned her hand to litigation in 2022 to coordinate an unusual claim regarding the proposed closure of Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

When Lumley is not handling property matters or making the odd appearance in court, you might find her on the netball court or on the football field. Indeed, she scored 13 goals for Squires Ladies Team in a five-aside match a few years ago. She also devised the office’s fundraising marathon of 22 activities in 20 hours for Leeds Autism Services.
