At the centre of developing the British telecoms infrastructure of the future is Prash Mehta, head of transformation at BT. Overseeing projects at a time when BT is rolling out the 5G infrastructure nationally, along with a need to ensure everything from remoting working to 999 calls keeps running, is no mean feat.
Promoted to transformation director in April 2022, his role saw him hit the ground running hard and fast. From leading the company through the navigation of sanctions, to guiding its Brexit planning as well as pioneering diversity and inclusion, he has found himself at the centre of many of its transformational goals.
BT is long-known for its position in using transformative services in the market, and Mehta continues to develop these relationships while ensuring that BT continues to undertake strategic and cutting-edge work internally. On top of all of this, as deputy co-chair of BT’s diversity network he places a heavy focus on providing equality, inclusion and fairness for underrepresented communities, including working with panel firms to encourage them to implement diversity initiatives.
