Another year and another set of rip-roaring results from Morrison & Foerster’s (MoFo) London office. The team – now over 30 partners strong – generated revenue of £47.2m over 2021, making it not the largest office of a US firm in London, but certainly one that is growing quickly.

Last year was the fourth on the trot that London reported double-digit growth, in a validation of strategy for European managing partner Paul Friedman. For over seven years, Friedman has been at the helm of MoFo’s growth plan, leading on key hires and practice area expansion in a bid to propel the firm onto bigger and better cross-border mandates. Alongside the firm’s well-publicised ties to Softbank, MoFo’s London office also bagged a mandate on one of the UK’s largest M&A deals, advising Fortress on financial matters ahead of its heated tussle for supermarket chain Morrisons. That is proof for Friedman that MoFo’s momentum shows no sign of slowing down.
