Olivia is the Group General Counsel and Head of Regulatory for Checkout.com. Checkout.com is a global payments solution company that makes payments seamless for its merchants. It offers acquiring of all major international credit and debit cards and local payment methods in over 150 currencies. Checkout.com is one of Europe’s top fintechs with its valuation almost tripling to £15bn in its Series C funding round in January 2021. Olivia joined Checkout.com in 2020 to grow its existing legal team into a global function and establish Company Secretarial and Regulatory teams. Prior to Checkout, Olivia was GC of Zopa and played a pivotal role in attaining a UK banking licence in 2018. Olivia spent 11 years at Barclays Bank plc in a variety of roles in the UK, across Europe and South Africa at Barclaycard and the Retail Banking business. Olivia also spent time in a non-legal role at Barclays Bank Ireland where she led the establishment of an acquiring business for the bank.
