Natasha Harrison first appeared in the Hot 100 back in 2011, recognised then as a formidable restructuring litigator. A decade later, she has once again earned a spot on the list, this time marking her rise to a role as one of law’s most prominent leaders following a truly monumental 2020.

Harrison launched Boies Schiller Flexner’s London office in 2013 and has successfully built a top-tier practice in the UK for the US litigation powerhouse. In December 2019, her leadership skills won her a firm-wide management role as co-managing partner alongside New York partner Nicholas Gravante. But the first year under her stewardship turned out to be the biggest test of her career, not only because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Harrison is the main mastermind and architect behind Boies Schiller’s first major reform in its history. It saw the drastic overhaul of its partner and associate remuneration systems and a shift in its strategy to refocus on litigation. The transformational shake-up caused a major storm within the firm, resulting in a considerable number of partner departures, including Gravante.

However, little daunts the cool-headed litigator, a veteran of advising major organisations on extremely complex restructurings. Her election to the deputy chair at the end of 2020, which made her heir apparent to the firm’s founder and chair David Boies, is the strongest testimony to her clear strategic vision for the future.
