John O’Donoghue, is the Global Head of Legal Operations for Disputes at Herbert Smith Freehills and has 20 years’ experience in the legal industry with an array of experience in Legal Finance, Pricing, Legal Project Management, Data & Analytics, Third Party Funding & Risk Transfer Insurance. John has previously worked at firms including Charles Russel Speechlys, Simmons & Simmons and Reed Smith; before joining Herbert Smith Freehills in 2016. John has been responsible for various business transformation projects including an FPMS rollout, a Legal Project Management function, and most recently; the first specialist Disputes Pricing, Funding and Risk Transfer function within a major law firm. The work of John and his team has led to nominations for Legal Week’s “Flagship future of legal services innovation” award, the Lawyer’s “Business services team of the year” award and, most recently, the FT’s “Legal innovator of the year” award.
