Jane George

Campari UKRegional Counsel and Public Affairs Manager

Jane is the General Counsel and Public Affairs Manager of the Northern, Central and Eastern European Business Unit of Campari Group, the sixth largest global spirits company. Jane started her career in London in private practice and moved to Jamaica. She has worked in the spirits industry since 2001, having joined J. Wray & Nephew Limited, owner of Appleton Estate and Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum, and established the legal department there. J. Wray & Nephew was acquired by Campari Group in 2012. She assumed her current role, based in London, in 2017.

While in Jamaica, Jane served on the board of directors of several group companies and of the Jamaica Stock Exchange. Jane is a now member of the boards of directors of various Campari Group companies in her region, as well as the Alcohol Information Partnership in the UK, and is the Group’s representative on various committees of the Scotch Whisky Association and the Wines and Spirits Trade Association.

In her spare time, she enjoys running, cycling, going to the theatre and cooking for friends (and the occasional Negroni!).

Jane has three grown-up daughters, all of whom, having two lawyer parents, have chosen vocations other than law.
