I lead the Barclays Legal team on Commercial, Innovation and Technology. The innovation element of the role covers the strategic legal advice to the businesses and functions on the impact of laws and regulations on new and existing products or services that employ innovative technologies and innovative business ideas, as well as supporting the Legal Tech strategy for the Global Legal Function.
Previous roles at Barclays include leading the Personal Banking, Mortgages and Client and Customer Experience legal team in Barclays UK and General Counsel of Barclaycard. Previously I was MD and General Counsel of the cards business in Morgan Stanley and spent two years in the banking group of the law firm, CMS Cameron McKenna. I have also worked as a Government lawyer at the UK’s Office of Fair Trading and the Home Office, and as a lawyer at the Consumers’ Association.
