As General Counsel (Routes) Dan leads a team which is set up to deliver a full range of legal services to support the business in maintaining, operating and enhancing the UK rail network. There are eight routes in total, geographically split across the UK, with eight leadership teams and 25,000 employees to support – from Managing Directors to front line staff. Previously selected as one of Legal Business’ Rising Stars, Dan and his team work as partners with the Routes, aligned to their strategies and proactively supporting them in achieving their objectives. Through measuring and monitoring our performance, the team is constantly developing and looking for opportunities to improve their service to become a better, faster and smarter service provider to the Routes and ultimately to achieve the team vision of ‘consistently exceeding customers’ expectations’.
