Catherine joined Irwin Mitchell as partner and Head of its French desk last year after many years leading teams of bilingual or trilingual lawyers as General Counsel of international groups, primarily in fashion and food. Irwin Mitchell’s French desk works across the whole firm, meeting client needs by introducing UK clients to law firms in francophone countries and supporting francophone clients seeking advice in the laws of England and Wales from Irwin Mitchell. Catherine is bilingual, a former teacher of French and former lexicographer. She has held a number of executive and non-executive director roles and is currently a member of the Advisory Council of the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain. In 2019 she was named ‘In-House Lawyer of the Year’ at the Inspirational Women in Law Awards.
