Track 2: Consumer Duty: what do in-house lawyers absolutely need to know?

About

Consumer Duty will come into play for new and existing products in July. This is an important change project for every FS firm with a consumer focus, and will affect the broader industry. Legal teams may not have led the implementation of Consumer Duty but they will need to advise the business on subsequent changes. This session will consider the role of the legal team in consumer duty, and the key details they need to be aware of to advise their business.
– What role should inhouse lawyers take in the implementation of consumer duty?
– What do you need to know about consumer duty when you’re working with other functions?
– What approach should your organisation take to not being 100% compliant?
– How will consumer duty affect how you deal with stakeholders and customers?
