Macfarlanes and Dentons have announced their retention results for this September.

Macfarlanes is keeping on all of its 25 qualifiers, though only 23 of them are on permanent contracts, with two being retained on a fixed-term contract.

Head of graduate recruitment Seán Lavin said: “We are delighted to have again achieved a 100 per cent retention rate for our trainees qualifying this September. We recruit trainees of the highest quality and we do so with a view to offering them long-term careers with the firm. We try very hard to ensure that we can offer a role to each trainee on qualification in order to keep that talent within the firm.”

Meanwhile Dentons has retained 14 of 21 final-seat trainees in its London office and five of seven in Milton Keynes, giving it total retention of 68 per cent, matching its performance from last autumn.
