Loyens & Loeff, attorneys at law, tax advisers and civil-law notaries, has further strengthened its Competition & Regulatory practice group by promoting Marc Custers to counsel.

Marc Custers, who has been with the firm since 2000, specialises in EU law and competition law. His area of work includes merger control, cartels, state aid and competition litigation. The appointment reflects the importance of EU and competition law-related work within Loyens & Loeff and follows one month after the announcement that in the same practice group Marc Wiggers had been appointed partner.

Marc Custers has been involved in high-profile cases before European and Dutch courts, the European Commission and the Dutch Competition Authority. He is recognised for his deep knowledge and his pragmatic and solution-oriented approach. Clients praise him for his “good insight into Dutch authorities” and notice that he is “accomplished, practical and collegial in working“.
