Lovells has hired former White & Case senior associate Suren Gortsunyan as a partner in the firm’s Moscow office.
Gortsunyan is a corporate lawyer specialising in M&A and equity capital markets work, who also provides transactional advice on the emerging Russian private equity sector.
Gortsunyan, a Russian qualified lawyer, had also spent time at Herbert Smith in Moscow. He has advised major Russian corporates and international corporates operating in Russia, mostly in the oil and gas, telecommunications, consumer and retail sectors.
Lovells’ Moscow office, led by Oxana Balayan, now has more than 20 fee earners.
