Links names new grad recruitment partner as incumbent heads to Moscow

Linklaters has named capital markets lawyer Mark Middleton as its joint graduate recruitment partner.

Middleton takes over from projects solicitor Matt Keats, who has been seconded to the magic circle firm’s Moscow office, and will work alongside existing graduate recruitment partner Euan Clarke.

Clarke, who has been a graduate recruitment partner with the firm for more than three years, said: “ Mark’s been a very active member of our interview panel for some time and I’m pleased that we’ll continue with having two partners jointly responsible for the role.”

Middleton’s reign will coincide with Linklaters’ recent move to team up with College of Law to offer a fast-track Legal Practice Course (LPC) for all the firm’s future trainees.

The new-look LPC will be introduced from January 2011, will be run twice a year and cut study time down from 10 to seven-and-a-half months.

Middleton said: “I’ve been involved in graduate recruitment at Linklaters  for many years and it’s something I feel passionately about. We must continue to  attract the very best graduates to join us as trainees by  showing that we offer an unparalleled training experience and I’m looking forward to doing just  that.”
