Known for hosting powerful speakers that deliver business-critical information, The Lawyer’s GC Strategy Summit taking place between 30th September and 2nd October is a must-attend event. The 3-day virtual conference provides highly interactive and engaging formats including keynote presentations, TED-style talks, panel debates and more intimate roundtable discussions enabling effective learning and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.

Attendees have over 20 different sessions to choose from, including this 60-minute virtual roundtable discussion on Life during and after lockdown – the impact of Covid-19 on inhouse legal teams: a case study taking place at 14:00 BST on the 30 September and again on the 1st October.

The effects of the pandemic on in-house legal teams have been varied and far-reaching. As we begin to return to work and life after lockdown it is clear that we will be dealing with the aftermath for many months to come.

This roundtable session will work through a case study built from the facilitators’ experiences of working with their in-house peers to navigate the myriad of complex issues that have arisen over the past six months. Themes include:

  • Corporate governance and liaising with the board
  • Workforce Health & Safety
  • Other people considerations
  • How to build back better
