Thirty law firm members of a solicitors' marketing network, which has set up Web sites, recorded 3,000 hits in the first four weeks.

The Trinity Group of solicitors, run by Sheffield-based marketing company, Law Shield, aims to help its 70 law firm members to negotiate contracts for conveyancing and non-contentious work with banks, building societies and insurance companies. It set up Web sites for 30 of its members on March 24.

It is now setting up Internet links for clients to send information direct to a Trinity group member by email and is sending a questionnaire to all the browsers of the Web sites.

Law Shield chair, Eleanor Petley, said: "It is a condition of membership that Trinity firms must have an Internet connection and we will have the remaining 40 firms on site before the end of the year. We now want to gain information on the kinds of people browsing the sites and are raffling a bottle of vintage port among those who complete our questionnaire."
