Charlotte Green of Gowling WLG writes: “I have found a new and wonderful personalised stationery and event planning business – Cocolulu.”

“Their designs are stunning and the attention to detail is something else, having purchased a pack of their greetings cards recently. They are selling a range of stunning Christmas cards, with 10 per cent off for November.”  (She adds: “PS. We are talking about sending some of those brownies to colleagues – so this definitely works!”)

Dogs of the Day

The Eversheds Sutherland comms team have only gone and sent us ALL their pets. Full details are below, including each pet’s likes, future ambitions and their ‘best story’, told to anyone who will listen at parties.

Lexi

Age: (Nearly) 2 years old

Breed: Cocker Spaniel (half working-type, half show-type)

My owner: Meg Lawrie, internal communications executive

My likes: Tummy tickles, smells, walks, fetch, whatever my people are eating, whatever other people are eating, picnics (not mine), food on the ground, food in other dogs’ mouths, food in children’s hands, food that isn’t food, demanding more food when I’ve just had food, denta-stix, smelling people’s breath to see what food they’ve been eating, licking ears, stealing tennis balls.

Best story about me: On my very first day with my hoomans (I was 7 months old), my mum took a 20-minute work call. In that time I proceeded to wee and poop twice on a cream rug and chew threw a cord.

If I was a human, my job would be: Ridiculously good-looking. The hoomans call me Elle. Elle MacPherson (see picture).

Rupert Shackleton Bear

Age: 8 years old, but still fully embracing puppyhood (when will that end?)

Breed: Labradoodle

My owner: Judith Green, communications & brand director

My likes: Walks, tummy rubs, ear floofing, cheese, meat, MEAT, yeah I really love meat, the ladies at the grooming places, ladies in general, cat food (I steal it), drinking from the pond, mud, digging (see picture), barking at everything, absolutely everything, seriously I absolutely LOVE barking, sleeping in inconvenient places, tennis balls (for chewing, not retrieving – I don’t retrieve, if you want it get it yourself) and all the humans in my house but ideally when they are all together in one room where I can guard them.

Best story about me: I once licked a big hole in the carpet overnight. A small human had dropped lasagna on the floor and the big humans thought they’d cleared it up, but they hadn’t done a good enough job so I licked it clean. Right through to the backing of the carpet.

Oscar (Oz / Ozzie to my main peeps)

Age: 12 years old

Breed: Tibetan Terrier

My owner: Rebecca Absalom, PR & communications executive

My likes: Sleep – eat – repeat, walks during the day (not so happy with the evening walk as it cuts into my TV time), getting tea towels off the kitchen side to chew, finding tissues, stealing shoes, eating socks, putting my paw on the humans when they’re eating dinner in case they forget about my existence, sniffing trees & big clumps of grass, being a drama queen, belly tickles, guilty pleasure: eating butterflies.

If I was a human with a job, I would be: Not really a job but I’d make a great pickpocket!

Firefly and Figaro

Our owner: Sophie Llewhelin, senior PR manager

Best story about me: [Unless the email cut off halfway through, Sophie didn’t provide a best story for her ponies or musings on what they would be if they were humans with a mortgage to pay. We choose to believe she simply wants you to appreciate their stolid dignity.]

Fleet Foxes – Shore

Shore is a folk-filled breath of fresh air, a musical getaway for those seeking to escape the upcoming winter gloom. It is Fleet Foxes at their finest, offering songs of skin-tingling sadness alongside get-up-and-go bangers. As a surprise release in September, it was as if singer-songwriter Robin Pecknold knew exactly what the world was waiting for. A record of reinvigoration, packed with warmth and optimism. Give it a listen. –Luke Barr
