The Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate is starting this autumn to conduct a survey on favor in the medical device sector. Since January 1, 2018, the prohibition of gratitude applies to suppliers of medical devices. This means that offering money, services or goods to promote the sale of medical devices is prohibited. The research conducted by the IGJ will focus on the sub-segments of cardiology, orthopedics and dental implants.
The ban on grace is reciprocal. It applies to parties that have a commercial interest in the application of the medical device, such as manufacturers and suppliers, as well as anyone who makes professional use of the medical devices or has influence on the choice of a medical device, such as doctors, purchasers of healthcare institutions. and health insurers.
