On 30 November 2017 the Dutch Healthcare Authority issued a fine of € 70.000 to a healthcare provider that failed to notify a concentration. The healthcare provider had acquired certain personnel from other healthcare providers and this transaction exceeded the 50 person threshold for notification to the Dutch Healthcare Authority.

The Dutch Healthcare Authority qualified the infringement as a very – even if too late – serious one, but reduced the fine because the healthcare provider did notify the transaction and offered its full cooperation in the investigation.
