China (PRC) is undergoing an economic revolution of digitalisation. Owing to the country’s highly engaged mobile population and booming mobile e-commerce, mobile applications or apps, including mini-programs and public accounts on WeChat, and H5 pages (commonly known as mobile websites that can be seamlessly integrated into WeChat profiles to create interactive marketing campaigns) have increasingly become important tools for business operators to boost their brands and to promote their products.
