Cross-border insolvency in the backdrop of Brexit

The BREXIT transition period ended on 31 December 2020 and has significantly changed the UK insolvency landscape in terms of the effect this has on cross border insolvencies. The UK is now deemed to be a “third country” and therefore no longer benefits from the automatic recognition of insolvency proceedings between Member States.
