Walker Morris advises Servelec on recommended cash offer

Specialist corporate lawyers at Walker Morris are advising Servelec Group, the UK-headquartered technology group, on a recommended cash offer from Scarlet Bidco to acquire Servelec’s entire issued and to be issued share capital.  The deal values the Servelec Group at approximately £224m and is being effected by way of a scheme of arrangement.

Magic Circle duo freeze 2017 US associate bonuses

Clifford Chance and Allen & Overy (A&O) have kept bonuses static for their US associates in 2017, with those made up in 2009 and 2010 set to receive $100,000 (£74,493).

At both firms, associates from those two years and senior associates will earn the top-end bonuses, while associates from the 2017 intake will receive up to $15,000 (£11,159).

Slater & Gordon to close four UK offices amid restructure

Slater & Gordon is set to close four of its regional offices as part of a continued review of the firm’s UK operations.

The Australian-listed firm will close locations in Chester, Milton Keynes and Wrexham, and has opted not to renew the lease on its Preston office which expires in summer 2018.
