With the rapid development of international connections, Chinese courts have accepted
a growing number of cross-border commercial disputes in recent years.

In the process of promoting world trade China needs to improve its legal system to provide international litigants with more efficient solutions. As one of the most significant of these efforts, the Supreme People’s Court of the PRC (SPC) recently promulgated The Provisions of the Supreme People’s Court on Several Issues Concerning the Creation of International Commercial Courts (the Provisions), which entered into force on 1 July 2018.
