Karanović & Nikolić recently organised a workshop in cooperation with the Faculty of Law, under the title of “Managing Emotions in Labor Disputes – More than Law”, as part of the Trial Simulation and Case Studies course.

The workshop was held on 25 April in the VI amphitheatre at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, and it featured our lawyers Andrej Jelenković and Ivana Dišović, who made an effort to share their experience and knowledge with the many students in attendance.

The main focus of the workshop was on how litigation lawyers handle a number of existential, social, and personal issues that arise over the course of labour disputes. Reading the emotions of other parties, establishing control, and learning how to not lose sight of the client’s business and strategic objectives, were just some of the main talking points in this context. These topics made up for quite a response from the audience, as the lecture part of the workshop was followed by a lively discussion and a flurry of questions aimed at the presenters – all of which they were eager to answer, providing a valuable contribution in doing so.
