Berwin Leighton Paisner has hired the head of Jones Day’s employment litigation practice.
Lisa Mayhew joins as a partner today, bringing with her particular expertise in financial services. This includes experience on High Court cases that have involved team moves and restrictive covenants, bonuses, executive severance, equal pay and whistle blowing. Prior to Jones Day she was a partner at Lovells, which she left in 2006 (29 August 2006).

Mayhew said: “BLP’s employment team has broken through into the premier league in recent years and they’re fast becoming a team of choice by the corporate elite. It has an excellent platform and match with my own practice and I’m looking forward to applying my financial services experience to the benefit of BLP’s expanding client base.”
BLP recently won a deal that sees it take on board the global employment work of telecoms provider Colt (20 September 2010), in a move that will see it focusing primarily on strategic matters.
