The 17-year old boy – who cannot be named for legal reasons – accused of stabbing and murdering James Brindley, has been convicted and sentenced to jail.  Aaron Kahrod, 21, who was also on trial for the murder, was found not guilty.

Jonas Hankin QC, prosecuting, told the jury the defendant’s first thought was to “immediately dispose of evidence” rather than seek help.

The teenager will be sentenced on Friday 2 February.

Jonas Hankin QC and Harpreet Sandhu are members of the Crime Group at No5.
