Words can barely describe Jack Straw's arrogant U-turn in deciding the right to a trial by jury should be scrapped.
But here are some anyway: despicable, deplorable, shameful, hypocritical, contemptible, nauseating, underhanded, unpardonable and treacherous.
Straw, a lawyer by trade, has no interest in justice.
He is a Home Secretary interested in the only two things Home Secretaries are ever interested in: saving money and securing convictions whatever the cost to justice.
Undoubtedly, innocent people will be convicted of crimes they did not commit because of Straw. Long may it be on his conscience.
