International employment law alliance ius laboris is joining forces with manufacturers’ organisation EEF to provide overseas labour law advice.
EEF’s members come from the manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors. It provides business services, including employment law and HR advice, for member companies.
The organisation has an 85-strong team of lawyers and employment relations experts to give advice within the UK, but was unable to help them in other jurisdictions.
The agreement with ius laboris means that EEF will now refer overseas employment law advice to the alliance. One of ius laboris’s 24 member firms, which include the UK’s Lewis Silkin, Roschier Holmberg in Finland and US firm Seyfarth Shaw, will then deal with the matter.
EEF’s director of employment and legal affairs, Peter Schofield, said that UK manufacturers increasingly need global employment law advice.
