Pinsent Masons ’ head of real estate litigation Stuart Wortley has joined Eversheds as a partner in London. Wortley, who was at Pinsents for 19 years, has experience advising clients in complex, high-value property disputes and is a former chairman of the Property Litigation Association. His appointment brings Eversheds’ UK real estate litigation practice up to 12 partners.

London 

David McCluskey has joined Taylor Wessing from Peters & Peters , where he was a partner in its business crime team. 

Jenner & Block has announced that intellectual property lawyer John Runeckles has joined the firm from White & Case as counsel.

Addleshaw Goddard has grown its corporate banking practice with the appointment of partner Angus Gill from Hogan Lovells , where he was previously of counsel.

John Amberton has joined PwC Legal as a partner in its international business reorganisations team. Amberton joins from Baker & McKenzie , where he had been a senior associate for four years.   

Former White & Case counsel John Benjamin has joined DWF as a partner in London. Benjamin is an intellectual property and technology lawyer. 

BLM has strengthened its casualty team with the addition of partner Caroline Craigie, who joins from Kennedys , where she was a senior associate. 

Travers Smith has announced the recruitment of David St Clare Nelson as a consultant to the firm’s derivatives and structured products practice.

White & Case has boosted its white collar practice with the hire of litigator Jonathan Pickworth from Dechert , where he had been a partner for four years.  

South 

The Cambridge office of Penningtons Manches has appointed partners Ross McNaughton and Sarah Coates. Corporate partner McNaughton joins fromPaul Hastings , while real estate partner Coates joins from Thomson Webb & Corfield .

North 

Bevan Brittan has announced two further partners will be joining its new Leeds office, which opened at the beginning of September. Local government specialists Judith Barnes and Frances Woodhead join from the partnership of DAC Beachcroft and Eversheds respectively. 

DTM Legal has expanded its commercial property team with two new appointments. Harris joins the team as a consultant from the partnership ofWeightmans , while Sally Pilott has been appointed associate solicitor having been a senior associate at Dorsey & Whitney

 

Europe 

Daivis Švirinas, former managing partner at Borenius Lithuania, and Žygimantas Pacevičius, head of the dispute resolution practice at Borenius Lithuania , are joiningSorainen

Elisabetta Righini will join Latham & Watkins ’ Brussels office as counsel in the antitrust and competition practice. She was legal adviser to former competition commissioner and vice-president of the European Commission Joaquín Almunia. 

Dentons has announced the expansion of its German team with Thomas Schubert, who will join its corporate practice as partner in Berlin. He joins from Olswang , where he was also a partner.

Evgenia Laurson has joined Dentons ’ Moscow banking and finance and energy and natural resources practices as a partner. Laurson previously worked at White & Case as a partner. 

DLA Piper has added a team of 20 lawyers including five partners to its Hamburg office from Bird & Bird . The partners named in the move are TMT partner Stefan Engels, corporate partners Jörg Paura and Daniel Weiss, IP specialist Ulrike Grübler and litigation partner Michael
Stulz-Herrnstadt. 

Pinsent Masons has appointed former Fieldfisher Munich managing partner Sibylle Schumacher as a partner in Germany. 

Sen Gao is to become a member of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek ’s China desk in Hamburg. He joins as a partner from Schindhelm , where he has been a partner in Hamburg since 2014. 

Anne Vrignaud has joined the banking and finance department of the Paris office of Baker & McKenzie as a local partner.
She was previously counsel at Clifford Chance

Danish firm Gorrissen Federspiel has added former Bruun & Hjejle partner Erik Kjær-Hansen and former Bird & Bird partner Morten Nissen to its competition practice.

 

Middle East 

Squire Patton Boggs has announced the appointment of international dispute resolution partner Alain Farhad, who has joined the firm from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he was a senior associate. 

 

US 

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has hired Thomas Bondy, former deputy general counsel at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who has joined the firm’s Supreme Court and appellate practice group in Washington DC. 

White & Case has announced the arrival of Arlene Hahn as a partner in the firm’s New York intellectual property practice. Hahn joins from Weil Gotshal & Manges , where she was counsel. 

 

Africa 

Partners Lodewyk Meyer and Laurie Hammond are joining Hogan Lovells in South Africa. They were previously directors in the structured trade and commodity finance team of Norton Rose Fulbright , and bring with them associates Jessica Petersen and Izanne Geldenhuys.

 

Promotions 

Aaron & Partners has made six promotions at its Chester office, including three new partners. Previous senior associates Helen Kidd, Rowena Ridgway and Jan Chillery are now partners.

Ogier has announced the appointment of Bryon Rees as a partner in its funds and corporate practice in Guernsey. Rees joined Ogier in 2005 and has since been
a managing associate.

Seddons has promoted Simon Noonoo to partner, bringing the total number of partners at the firm to 26. He joined Seddons’ property team last year as an associate.
