Travers Smith has made up a part-time partner for the first time as part of a five-strong promotion round.
Emily Clark has been made up into the partnership in the tax group and will work four days a week, as she currently does as a senior associate. The firm has other partners working part time, but this is the first time any lawyer has been made up into the partnership on that basis.
The corporate group will have two new partners join in the shape of Jim Renahan and Adrian West. Philip Bartram has been made up in the financial services and markets group, while the banking practice has been boosted by the promotion of Ben Davis.
All the promotions are effective as of 1 July.
Managing partner Andrew Lilley said in a statement: “All our new partners will make a strong contribution to the future success of our business and their promotions reflect their commitment and hard work to date.”
The number of promotions at the City firm is up slightly on recent years. The last three rounds of partner promotions each saw four lawyers made up.
