Stephenson Harwood has further boosted its real estate practice with the hire of Nabarro partner James Trundle.
Trundle, who made partner in 2003 (7 April 2003), joins the City rival to bolster a team that has hired a number of partners in the area in recent months.
The firm scooped SNR Denton’s joint real estate finance head Andrew Hill and real estate partner Paul Hayward-Surry, also from SNR, in November 2011, after hiring real estate partner James Linforth from the same firm in October.
It also recruited property partner Stephen Sumpton from McGrigors in June, and hired Travers Smith real estate finance partner Neil Murray and Wragge & Co real estate partner Jonathon Wilkes in late 2010 (3 September 2010).
Wilkes, who heads the firm’s real estate practice, said Trundle was a “very high-calibre individual” who would complement the team through his focus on institutional real estate clients such as management houses, property companies and high-net-worth individuals, areas that the firm is moving to emphasise.
It is understood that a further real estate partner and a planning partner are leaving Nabarro, but their destination is currently unclear.
Nabarro declined to comment on Trundle’s departure.
