SJB loving Angel instead

It couldn’t get a Rose so SJ Berwin has got itself an Angel instead.

To be precise, Tony Angel has joined the firm as a non-exec director (see story).

The former Linklaters managing partner is forging something of a portfolio career for himself, having taken on the chief exec role at telehealth company Vantage Diagnostics last year (see story).

Of course it’s the long-term direction of SJB that will be worrying most of its partners following the very public breakdown of merger talks with Proskauer Rose last year.

Some could say an Angel is just what was needed around the place, even if he’s come along six months too late.
