Reed Smith has made up two energy partners and two shipping partners in London as part of a 22-strong global round of promotions.
The total number internationally is slightly down on last year’s 25 promotions, with the London tally static at four.
Energy and natural resources lawyers Vassia Payiataki and Paul Skeet and shipping lawyers Helle Kjaerstad and Robert Wilkins all joined the partnership in London on 1 January.
The US firm also made up one partner in Paris, 16 in the US and one in Hong Kong in the January 2012 annual promotions.
Globally, dispute resolution and the financial industry group saw the most partners made up, with four joining the partnership in each area.
The firm has not announced any promotions in Germany, Greece, Beijing or the Middle East.
Last year it made up 14 in the US and others in Dubai, Hong Kong, Munich, Paris, and Piraeus (5 January 2011).
