Italian independent Pavia e Ansaldo has hired a team focusing on renewable energy, led by a former of counsel from Carnelutti.
Michele Cicchetti joins Pavia as a partner along with three Carnelutti associates and one from KStudio Associato. His practice focuses on advising Italian and foreign companies, particularly financing institutions, on project finance trasnactions and renewable energy M&A.
Pavia managing partner Roberto Zanchi said the firm already had a “strong position” in renewable energy work and the new team would support further growth.
Cicchetti is Pavia’s 33rd partner. In its 50th year, the firm now employs over 150 lawyers in six international offices.
He will be supported at Pavia by senior associates Luca Cuomo and Guglielmo Fabbricatore as well as associates Stefano Motta and Eleonora Degli Abbati. Fabbricatore was previously at KStudio.
