Olswang has promoted two associates to its partnership, the same number as in 2009 but eight fewer than in 2008.
Berlin-based finance specialist Claudia Hard joined Olswang in 2009 as an associate from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Her practicefocuses particularly on real estate, corporate and project finance matters.
London-based litigator Ian Felstead has been with Olswang since joining as a trainee in 2000. Felstead, whose practice focuses on commercial, media, and regulatory litigation, qualified in 2002.
Felstead’s recent cases have included acting for Wimbledon Football Club on overturning the Football League’s decision to block its relocation to Milton Keynes, PartyGaming on its dispute with Empire Online and the BPI on its Copyright Tribunal reference regarding online music.
Olswang managing partner David Stewart (pictured) said both lawyers had made “significant contributions” to the firm.
“I look forward to seeing their enthusiasm and ambition enhance our partnership in the years to come,” Stewart added.
The two promotions, effective on 1 May, take the total number of partners at Olswang to 96.
