Nixon Peabody has expanded its European labour team with the appointment of SNR Denton’s French employment head Ludovic Roche.
Roche joins Nixon Peabody with two associates. He specialises in collective employment relationships, staff representation and contractual work.
Nixon Peabody’s global employment head Jeffrey Tanenbaum said: “Given the complex and changing legal environment in France, a strong labour and employment practice is very important.”
Roche becomes the 17th partner in the firm’s French office and its second labour specialist, alongside Pascal Guinot who joined Nixon Peabody from Taylor Wessing in August 2008.
A spokesperson for SNR Denton said the firm wished Roche well.
Meanwhile, French independent August & Debouzy has appointed Christophe Clarenc as the partner in charge of its Paris and Brussels competition department.
Clarenc moves to August & Debouzy from Latham & Watkins along with Latham associate Renaud Christol, who becomes an of counsel.
Firm founder Gilles August said clients were increasingly seeking advice on competition issues.
