Mayer Brown has completed the restructuring of its management team after electing the final five partners to its 12-member partnership board.

The new structure will be launched officially on 1 June when new chairman Bert Krueger (pictured) replaces former head James Holzhauer.

Last week The Lawyer reported that the firm was conducting a second round of elections for positions on the board after a first wave of elections failed to see a clear consensus (19 May). At that point seven of the 12 positions were filled.

The firm has now elected New York partner Jeffrey Gordon, Houston partner Bob Gray, Chicago partner Barry Machlin, Hong Kong litigation partner Nicholas Hunsworth and Hong Kong corporate partner Patrick Wong.

London is represented on the committee by partners Jeremy Clay and Ian Coles.

The final leadership elections come after London-based co-vice-chair Paul Maher officially resigned from the firm. Maher had been expected to succeed Holzhauer as chairman but chose not to stand for election.
